I purchased a set of sterling flatware that I can't identify. I've tried every place that I could find. The maker name is C.B. Brown Co. One of the storage cloths says they were a jewelry store in Omaha. I was told that they were purchased prior to 1950. Has anyone ever heard of this maker?

I'll bet Brown is not the maker...it was probably made FOR them by someone else. What is the mark on the silver itself...not the bags? If you can post a picture of the mark, it would be very helpful...

Hi Kitty Hope you're doing well !
There are no marks on any piece. It's just stamped sterling and C.B. Brown Co. If I can't find anything on them I think it's a good excuse to keep them hehehe.

CB Brown Co is/was the retailer of the flatware. I doubt it is sterling or it would be marked sterling, 925, or one of the European marks for silver. The fact that only the retailer's name is stamped on it suggests to me that it was a promotional set. If you supply a picture I will try and identify it for you.
Sorry misread your post. It is marked sterling. Post a picture and I will try and identify.
