I just found three files on my system with a virus. This was right after I opening my ebay listing and ending messages.

If you keep your anti-virus program updated, and do a scan from time to time you wouldn't end up with infected files, etc.
It seems from our experience in teaching new computer users that they don't seem to know that anti-virus programs have to be updated - they also don't understand that one needs to dump their cache from time to time, and defrag their computer.
I know of one gal who had her computer 2 years with no virus update, and knew nothing of dumping her cache or defragmenting her machine - she was running out of storage room, and low and behold, she had the room it was just being taken up by endless old and empty files.
Computers take upkeep - you can't just buy one and go, and expect never to collect trash, or need to run service programs.
