I had to file FVF fees on an auction then got a kinda testy email from the bidder and a payment through PayPal.

I tried to send the payment back the bidder through PayPal and according to PayPal it was going "unclaimed" because they were not registered.

Finally I just "canceled" it, because I didn't know what else to do about it.

How could they send me a payment using the email addy they contacted me with and not be registered so I can send it back?

I am sorry if I have confused everyone here...but I confused myself and can't help it.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Well, this is one for the PayPal forum I think. If they aren't registered then how can they have sent you a payment? This is strange indeed.

Why not post this over on the PayPal forum which is

or drop an email to [email protected]

Hi again,

I went and posted in the PayPal forum, but I didn't get any suggestions there.

I am back here now for some advice on how to proceed.

I emailed this person and let them know what was going on. I even copied and sent to them the PayPal page where it said that the payment could not be made because of not being registered.

No response.

I emailed them again and very nicely told them I was trying one more time to let them know that I could not send them the money due to this reason, and sent a copy of the first email.

Still no response.

Do they just not want their money back? Or what?

I just don't understand it at all. After I file NPB and FVF I relist. The item is no longer available to the person who did not pay.

Now how do you return someone's money who doesn't even seem to want it back? Would you go ahead and send the item out to them?

Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
