Am in the middle of a debate with BIL re: better to re-list immediately or wait a week or so for a new crop of bidders. I say, "Wait; change the title +/or description a bit" & then re-list. He says, "Re-list immediately, lower rpice & go for it."
Was wondering about your experiences/advice/thoughts on this.

I relist the next evening. Usually the same title, price, etc. Always amazes me to see it sell for more then the starting price on the second listing.
I sell large size clothing, both men & women. I always have a new crop of bidders. I think it would depend a little as to what you sell and the price to begin with. I try to start my auctions at $9.99 so there is really no much room for me to lower the starting bid and make a profit.

Relist right away along with any changes or added infroamtion that might enhance the listing.
With 5 million plus listings at any given time, I'd find it hard to believe that waiting a week would make any difference.
eBay selling is similar to the old classified ad business. The more listings or exposure you are able to create for your company, the more revenue you generate.
The single most important variable on eBay is the catagory where you are offering your items for sale. Target marketing is the name of the game and you want to make sure you are offering your products to people who care about the things you are offering. Otherwise, you'd be wasting your time.
Spend your due diligence finding saleable catagories for your listings and do not worry so much about WHEN you are listing, but WHERE your items are being listed.

I will usally relist immediatley Depending on the item I rarley drop the opening bid I have had things hit on the 3rd relisting by 4th relist I look carfully at catagory descrition and price.
I don't look at as a "batch of buyers" thousands are signing on or aoff at any given time.. they key is to find at least two who want your item.
