bootlegged tapes? There is this seller in Japan, I bought 3 tapes previously, they were all factory originals. I won 2 more, paid for it. and 3 days ago I won 3 more. Well I was getting ready to pay for those 4 tapes when I recived the new package. And the two tapes were copies! No box, no sticker, just a blank tape with a poorly recorded movie! So I certianly am NOT going to send him payment for the 4 others I won!

Now if he files FVF on those 4, that would count as 4 strikes so I will be NRU forever! I dont think this is fair for me, for I dont want to be forever suspended because this seller sold me a bootleg. Since he is from japan, his description did NOT stated they were copies, nor that it dint come with a box.

IS there anyway I can ask ebays to NOT NAU me if this seller files the 4 NPB and FVF? Or is it all automated so I am doomed? Please help!

Only ONE final fee value refund request per seller will count against you.

So, even if he files on all 4, rest assured, you will not be NARU.

Are you sure the next 4 will be copies?

Why don't you contact him and ask?

i had two situations where a seeler filed fvf on auctions I was involved in I wrote ebay explained the situation to them sent them co[ies of emails ect and they agreed that I was blameless and rmoved the warnings from my record.

I would take the offensive and report him for selling bootleg's

Well I asked him, and he said 2 of them are(in his own words, remember he is from Japan) "they are not originals, but not copies. They are off TV. I didnt say they are copies in my ad for they are not copies from tape. they are off TV. They are not copies"

UGH!!!!!!!!

He said he will credit me, but I dont think I am obligated to pick up the 2 "not original, but not copy" tapes, right?

Sticky situation. Report him to safeharbor for selling bootlegs and enclose a copy of his "not copied, taken from TV letter" They'll get him to understand what it mean to copy anything and sell it.

I wouldn't worry about him. He doesn't seem the type to give you a neg. If you don't want to report him, explain the best you can that he is breaking ebay's rules and explain what copying is, whether from tv or tape.

Good luck
