Before anyone gets their shorts in a knot, I feel this this is eBay related!

I only come to AW to the eBay Outlook.

I have noticed that the "OUTLOOK" has become VERY BORING for me.

Is it because of their NEW rule of not being able to confront the culprit in question by not being able to name them? Which in my opinion eliminates good heathy debate. (One sided conversations are BORING).

Is it because I've been here so long I've learned all there is to learn about auctions and seller behavior? I've grown TREMENDOUSLY in my business thanks to the wonderful ideas and advice here.

Just how many times can "shipping" and "feedback" be discussed?

But lately it seems the same old tired questions are being asked and the same old tired answers are being given.

When I have a question or concern, I do a site search FIRST and most the time I can find the answer. Why is every other link about one or the other(shipping ~ feedback)?

Has anyone else noticed that the traffic has SLOWED down tremendously here lately? It used to be I couldn't wait to log-in in the morning to see what new is going on here at AW. But for a time now when I log off at night and re-log on in the morning nothing has moved or changed much. Same ole thing is still in front.

Whats it going to take to bring the "FUN" back into AW...or is it I've out-grown it? Gee, I hope not!

Is it me? ~ OR ~ Do others feel this way?

The drop-off in traffic seems to coincide with AW's introduction of fees.

While those who've been here a LONG time probably get tired of seeing those threads, keep in mind that new people are discovering AW everyday.

To them, these questions are new & they don't have the expertise yet to do a site search. Most likely, they don't even know site search exists.

Seems to me we've had some very "lively" discussions lately (the buyer TOS thread comes to mind) w/o the other party being named or even being invited.

There's nothing to prevent anyone from inviting the opposing party in a dispute to AW to state their side of the case.

What kind of "FUN" are you looking for that you feel is missing?

How about a used underwear thread? Those are usually pretty lively.

Exactly!

And I think this was/is the point many AW users didn't seem to be able to fully grasp.

All the new rule prevents is allowing some dork the ability to start a thread such as:

"look at this sellers crappy auction" with a link to their auction.

SO WHAT if they could be invited to defend themselves &/or their auctions? IMO it was a stupid rule & should never have been allowed.

IMO AW has become somewhat boring, but I don't believe the above rule had anything to do with it. I for one never got off by watching other eBay users getting bashed "live" on AW threads.

I think it is just the time of the year also. More people are going outside and discovering the real world again. One of my brothers spends a lot of time on some of the stock boards and he said they are really quiet now.

I am sure that some sellers started other ventures when their sales decreased on ebay and they are concentrating on them so don't have the time or the interest in posting here now.
