We know that links are not allowed but I asked ebay and mentioning the Web address is also not allowed....here is their email....
"Thank you for writing eBay.
I have reviewed the information that you have provided. You may have
your logos as images as long as they do not offer items or include the
web address in the text on the image and are not clickable. We would not
permit a static, non clickable, web address on the auction page.
On the view item page you may have one link to a web page that further
describes the item being sold in your listing. The purpose in allowing
this is to accommodate situations where the entire description takes up
too much space on the main listing page.
Please keep in mind the additional description page must provide
information specific to the item being sold. You may not reference
material that only generally applies to the item. For instance, if you
are selling a set of golf clubs you could link to one page that gives
the all specifications for each individual golf club in the set. It
would not be permissible however, to link to a page that provides
information about general golfing equipment.'
This aspect of the change has not been listed anywhere that I could see...thought I'd let you all know.

I guess I got into this Ebay thing too late. It seems every day I have to change something in my auctions. The Sellers I have met over the years have told me how Ebay helped them get traffic over to their website. I am done with my hissy fit

Selling on ebay (and paying them thier fees) was a way to get buyers to your web site.
Ebay has now effectively voided that benefit.
One less reason to sell on ebay (and pay them their fees).
A few more reasons and there will be NO reason to sell on ebay.
