I just had a NPB on an item and re-listed it. I've noticed that when some items are re-listed, the original listing refers to the new listing.

How does this happen and how can you make it happen?

on the previous form, there was a box you could check to have that happen...

however, with the latest changes to the "sell your item" form, it MAY be an automatic thing now...
