I would like your opinions on the following situation.
I sold a ring earlier this week for just over $82. Customer paid by credit card. I shipped.
I received email #1 from customer, saying "Loved it, left positive feedback, please do same." (And she DID leave a positive!)
A few hours later I received email #2, saying "Just noticed a chip in the stone while polishing. I want to keep it. What can you do?"
I did not see a chip, or I certainly would have disclosed that. (The ring is oddly shaped with silver wires hugging the stone, so that may be why I didn't notice it.)However, I am somewhat leery about offering a partial refund without seeing the ring first.
Your advice and opinions, please, before I send her an email. My initial reaction was to ask for the ring back, and refund.

Ask her to take a closeup photo of the chip. It's possible she chipped the stone herself but if you're really not sure it wasn't chipped before you mailed it, you can't swear it wasn't now.
If you think the chip may have been there, decide on a partial refund based on the size of the chip. She already left you feedback so she can't do it again. It's up to you what to do at this point. I'd probably give her a few dollars.
