thekismeme	posted on May 28, 2001 09:19:22 AM had a problem ~ and had to reinstall Outlook Express ~ not I can't get my Hotmail account set back up........ I can get to the add mail part then I have some questions...... 1. Pop3 or IMAP 2. Incoming mail server 3. Outgoing mail server 4. my account name ~ is it name or [email protected]? 5. Do I check the box that says Log on using secure password? 6. Is there anything else I need to know?
josherz	posted on May 28, 2001 09:24:50 AM Which version of Outlook Express are you using? I believe you need to have version 5.0 and above to be able to setup a Hotmail account. You can figure out which version you have by opening up Outlook Express and then clicking on the Help menu and choosing About. Hotmail uses a system that isn't POP or IMAP based but when you setup the account in Outlook Express it gives you an exclusive option for adding a Hotmail acocunt. Hope this helps!
