Got this at a garage sale this morning for $4.00 It is BIG - about a gallon I would say. What is the pitcher to hold that would go with beans folks?

Maybe water??? When you are slow cooking beans you sometimes need to replinish the liquid.

My guess is that these are two pieces from some larger set and the pitcher does not necessarily "go" with the pot.

Could be wrong though. Salsa?

Maybe molasses since I believe it's a Boston Bean Pot for baked beans and they're usually made with molasses.
