Does anyone uses the AT&T 7/7 plan - $7 for unlimited ISP/7 cents long distance with banner ads and 60 megs of webspace.
I was wondering how large are the banner ads and how much band width they take up. Also, wondering how they do regarding the webspace for hosting pics. Looking for feedback on speed and reliability.

I use ATT Worldnet for $4.95/month and 5 mgs of web space that handles about 100 images. Of course, you must "add on" second and third images to your auction.
This rate has the small banner ads on top but after a month, they don't seem to bother you at all. Great bargain!

I have AT&T, but have the more expensive flat rate plan. I've had AT&T since they first started offering service & they've been excellent.
Down times are generally rare. The worst I ever faced was one day when they had a major glitch & were out for most of the day. Other than that, the outages have been few & far between.
I've used them for my own image hosting for some time & they've never had a problem w/it. I don't use them for my website because they don't allow for domain name usage.
The only complaint I have is their http upload is slow compared to other places I've used. But, more reliable.

We have the 7/7 plan on one line, the i495 on the other line. The navigation bar is tiny in comparison to others I've had, the ads are unobtrusive and never bother either of us. (The bigger ads never bothered me, but drove my husband nuts, so the fact that these don't bother him is signifgant) The connection is most always strong. It is the best ISP we've had to date and the price is right.
Don't know much about the webspace for picture hosting, we use a hosting service currently.

Thanks for the info.
I thought it is not a bad deal as it will lower my long distance charge to 7 cents a minute and give me 60 megs to store pictures. I was a little concern about the banner ads. However, based on the response, it seems not to be too bad. I will give it a trial.

Am I right...?
If you only use the space to store pix for ebay auctions ( <IMG SRC=att etc> ), then the questions of banner ads is meaningless, isn't it?
Yes - that should be correct. However, with numerous options for hosting webspace at less than $100/year for 100+ megs, it may not be worthwhile for just webspace. However, if you can use the ISP or the long distance discount (AT&T charges monthly fee of $3.95 if only long distance without the ISP), than it would be worthwhile.
Even if you have aN ISP already, it may still be worthwile as a backup ISP. Or if you have multiple phone lines, than you can upload/download files on one and still work with the other ISP on the other.

Before you sign up, make sure they have a dial-up number that is a local call for you. I just checked and there is none for my area - the closest is Syracuse which is a long distance call for me.
