I've been going back and forth with a bidder - who I feel is just being a "sore loser" about his first negative feedback point. He bid on and won a book from me, I emailed him
after the auction was over, and he replied telling me the payment was in the mail. My auction states 10 days to pay.
So, when the 10 days were up, I emailed the
bidder and let him know I had not received the payment and his auction was going to be cancelled within 24 hours if I didn't hear a reply.
Actually, since his feedback was good and alittle over 100, I gave him a few more days to reply - and never heard back.
So I went ahead and cancelled the auction, gave him a negative and re-listed the item and sold it to a paying bidder.
After a few weeks, I finally heard from him and he said that I had made a mistake because he had sent me the payment a couple of months
ago (when the auction had ended less than a month ago!), and that I had lost track of his check (something I never do!), and to let eBay know so they could clear up the negative feedback.
I replied that the mistake was made on his part for never paying nor responding to my emails - and to prove me wrong, to send me a copy or a scan of the "endorsed" check.
He never replied to that - but today I was getting my fees back after waiting the 10 days and he got the notification of the warning from eBay and then decided to email me once again saying he just gave me a negative and that I was being "unreasonable" since he's emailed me twice, blah, blah.
Once again I emailed him and told him what I needed him to do and I would not LIE to ebay
about something that never happened - receiving a check from him!
Haven't heard back from him. Have any of you ever dealed with any idiot like this? What did you do? Just curious
