I'm shaking my head on this one.. truly makes you wonder if people can read.

Item up for sale has year item was released/made in the title and description... bidder emails wanting to know how old item is?!??!

Do I want this person to even bid?

Sure you do. By the time I've scrolled all the way down to see the photos and read all the TOS stuff on an auction, I'm a long way from the title and may not remember it. Even scrolling back up to the "ask seller a question" doesn't reveal the auction title on my computer. Once I hit that and dash off a question, it may or may not occur to me to check the auction title, and I may not see it again. I was in a real similar situation recently. Didn't end up sending that email to seller, but I was close.

Just remember your auction is competing with a LOT of information, some of it in your own auction.

I also think it's a good idea to repeat most or all of the info from the title in your auction description, and for this very reason.
