I am trying to figure out if the new rules regarding links (which I do understand) ALSO apply to regular non-linking text about websites. For example, there's a seller i buy from who has her website name in huge letters across the top of every auction, but there are no links at all to her web site on her auction page. Is this allowed? Just curious.

I realize that if she had a huge LINK, it would be fodder for cancellation, but what about non-linked TEXT announcing your site?

Her site name is about three inches high with a huge jpeg logo. It's also her screen name. This is not a recent change, she's had it for years. I don't plan to turn her in (love her great items!) but I do want to know for my own information if this is OK.

Non clickable links, as well as clickable links are not permitted.

You are not permitted to embed your URL in your pics, either.

You may embed your pics with your username, though, and if your user name happens to be .com, it is Ebay legal.

kidsfeet: do you have a place on Ebay that says that specifically? I was thinking of letting her know so she can stay out of trouble and I want to be able to cite chapter and verse when I do it...anyone???
