Check it out: http://auction.lycos.com/

I guess Lycos might be dumping Fairmarket.

Well, that's not too surprising. I couldn't get off of the auctionspromotion@Lycos email SPAM list. I tried everything and finally had my attorney (my former husband ) send them a nice little letter on my behalf. Guess what? The Spam finally stopped.

I'm very confused and I hope someone can point out the difference. I saw the information above and clicked the link to find the ebay/Lycos auction page.

Here is where my confusion comes in... I've been posting to Lycos auctions and get 1 or 2 sales a week. It's not much at all but they aren't charging so I just keep posting. When I clicked on that link I saw that everything was Ebay. I immediately became outraged because I hadn't received any emails from Lycos telling me that they were changing and I had auctions running. Since everything was coming up ebay I assumed that the Lycos auctions had been cancelled and the ebay material was put on their auction site. That was... until I looked at the URL.

I get to Lycos auctions by going to auctions.lycos.com. The link above is to auction.lycos.com. One as an "s" and one doesn't. Can anyone explain why there is an ebay auction section under the "auction" subdomain and their own auctions under "auction"?

I went back to the "auctions" url and everything was running.

avaloncourt: it's prolly just another big SECRET!!! *sigh*

We're all on a NTK basis.... eBay will tell us when THEY Need us To Know.

(in the meantime, shshshshsh... don't tell anybody!) LOL
