Hi, I am kind of new to ebay.I have the lowest type of paypal account and don't really understand these fees. I have been selling items and have accepted paypal for about 7 transactions. they have not billed me yet. Or maybe they took the money from my bank account without me knowing? Can someone help me understand. thank you.

You will not get charged if you do not accept over $100.00 in one month. If you do, they will automatically deduct the amount of their fees from the money that is sent to you. They can't take money out of your bank account without permission.

Still charging exact shipping fees, and darn proud of it!

hi. welcome

i've got a business account, but i remember it this way:

on the basic account, which you've got, you have a limit that you can receive a month (i believe it's 30 days). the limit is $100. i think if you receive over that limit, you have to 'upgrade' to a business account, and you'll be charged fees. the fees are automatically deducted from the money in your account.

and you've arrived right smack in the middle of a HUGE debate about paypal. might want to take a peek at some of the other threads on it.

thank you re______ ( I forgot how to spell the rest of your name). So once I hit the 100 mark they will start deducting--but they will tell me first. What is the best alternative to paypal? Billpoint, or paydirect? thank you.

saweemosman -- Right now PayDirect is the best choice. They are unlimited and free.

This could change at anytime though.
