Any one know a good a scanner (preferably an HP) that will scan slides and 4x5 negatives for uploading to web for eBay? Thanks!

The HP7400c does exactly as you request.
About $500.
For eBay, it's an interesting experiment to scan negatives as if they were a piece of paper, then reverse in some photo software. Some scanners do this fairly well, some not at all. Works best for black&white negatives and slides, worst for color negatives. None of them do it well enough for real photo work, but for eBay, it might be worth exploring if the 7400 is too high.
Glass negatives are a particular problem, demonstrated by some really really bad eBay pictures of glass negs.
For what it's worth, a reasonably good eBay picture of any black&white neg can be taken with a digital camera by setting the negative on top of a flat flourescent light source, which are not too expensive if you're going to list lots of negatives. A close focusing digital camera can photograph a slide in this way too, but will require color adjustment. DO reverse a negative image and show the positive, but also reassure the buyer that the negative (or slide) is being sold, not some print.
