I've had quite a few customers use them - have not had a problem yet. I wish more customers would use it, actually!
They charge $1 for cutting you a check. If you only have them send you a check once a month, your monthly fee is only $1 through them. Compare that to Paypal!

I just added eCount as a payment option in my newest batch of auctions... Also added c2it and BidPay. I am still accepting PayPal, but raised my shipping fees by $0.75 and say "$0.75 discount for payment with Money Order, eCount, c2it, or BidPay". I didn't include personal checks or PayPal in the discount statement, because I don't like dealing with personal checks (so I charge $0.75 extra for them) and, well, for PayPal, you know why.
Yes, $1 for a transaction fee on eCount is great, that's why I'm trying to promote them!

I signed up for them awhile back, but I haven't promoted them yet on my auctions. Was trying to find out how well they were working for others first. Maybe I will give them a try. At least they are still mailing out checks to PO Boxes, which PayPal stopped doing back in October.

I decided to go take another look at eCount and when I checked their Fee Schedule I find:
$2.00 to add money
$2.95 to withdraw money by check
$1.00 to withdraw with their ATM Card
$6.95 (one time fee) for their ATM Card
Looks like they are trying to promote the use of their ATM Card rather than mailing out checks. Bummer! That could also add up because you will also get charged by the bank where you USE the ATM card!
Looks like they have also gotten bitten by the greedy bug and raised their fees.
