Thousands of people have been displaced by the flood that hit Houston this weekend. Please consider making a donation to the Red Cross and label it Texas Relief.

It has devistated this area and, of course,
those with the least resources have been impacted the most. Folks are pulling together, but could really use some help.

Also, Buyers and Sellers: please give your trading partners in this area some understanding if it takes a little longer than normal to complete the transaction. They are busy cleaning up and trying to get their lives back in order. Ebay, just isn't a priority when your house has been under 5 to 10 feet of water and is a nasty mess.

This has, afterall, been declare a national disaster area.
Thanks!

hello,i am in houston and luck me,i am not affected.
but i have been watching local news all day yesterday -some lady with 2 dozens of eggs was fighting with authority to go home and feed her kids.
one man has poked a hole in the ceiling and sat on rooftop in a chair and several dogs are smart enough to join him.
i have sold several prints of buddha on ebay for charity,so it is good time to put the proceeds to use.

We have friends in Bear Creek and Katy TX...were these areas flooded?

We were in Houston during the floods of 1980-1981 ...all the homes around us flooded..we were lucky we lived on a small hill and it only came up to the garage.

Wierd weather.

Does anyone know if the Houston Mormon temple flooded?

Thanks

Katy is fine. They only received about 5" of rain that night. I'm not positive about Bear Creek but I know where it's located and that area was fine...maybe some minor street flooding if anything at all. Further down 1960 was hit hard from about 249 near Willowbrook to Humble. Basically the creek areas.

Boy I'm tempted to respond to this one!
But I don't discuss sex politics or religion on the boards.

No, I don't. Is there more than one in Houston? I heard a local sports announcer (formerly a pro football player)mention that they were collecting items to help those who were flooded out at the Church of Latter Day Saints. I think that he said that he was attending church there on Sunday (but wouldn't swear to it). I do know that he is a Mormon.
However, I don't know if there is just one Mormon temple
