Hope someone can advise me as to what I should do,since I guess I have been Lucky up until NOW!I shipped Two Beautiful Figurines to Fl.and just received an e-mail from the buyer that they were Broken!!!
She doesn't go into detail as to how much Is broken or weather the Whole Box was Destroyed! But she said that the Postal Service there told her to get the reciept from me on shipping & Insurance and then for her to bring In the Box and reciepts.
Is there any other way to Handle this?????
Should I Refund Her Money Minus Shipping?
Should I ask her To Send It back to me???

DON'T have her send them back to you if you insured it.
If it was insured, send her the receipt, and insurance stub. Keep a copy for yourself in the event that it gets lost. She needs to bring everything to the post office, and THEY will refund her.
If you did NOT insure it, then have her send it back, and refund her money.

If item was insured, you have two ways to go about this.
One is to send her a COPY of the insurance receipt and tell her to take that, the completed auction page, all wrappings inside and out of the box, the box and the figurines to her post office. She can file with the copy. You, on the other hand, go to your post office and file your portion using the original insurance receipt. There's a place for you to fill in who gets the refund, you or your bidder. Then your post office sends the form to hers to complete. Her post office takes everything. She keeps nothing. They will give her a receipt for the figurines. Depending on whose name you filled out for receiving the refund, either one of you will get it. I filled in my bidder's name and address. She got it on the spot.
Second way is to just let her handle it on her end. Send her a letter telling her postmaster it's OK to collect, with the insurance receipt and forget it. I don't recommend this way though. It's not wise to ever give up your original insurance slip.
Either way, they won't refund shipping OR insurance fees. They will just refund what the figurines are worth. They can decide just to refund on the broken one and she'll get the good one plus money for the broken one.
If they're over $50, they will send everything to St. Louis and it could take months before she's refunded.
Personally, I would just let her take the refund if it's under $50. Over, I would refund her as soon as she showed me she filed with the PO.
