Is there a good way to relist anymore? It has become such a slow tedious and relatively complex process that I wonder if eBay is trying to eliminate the option.
Their various picture options, expanded categories, on-line payment options, and many optional features have made what used to be a fast loading page a lot slower and a lot longer. This is not to mention the new page that now pops up with "Tips on Relisting" that further slows the process.
Sorry for bringing up what you all already know, but had to vent tonight after it again caused my Netscape 4.75 to crash several times.

I've been having all the problems you describe too. I use IE 5. It took 40 minutes to relist 1 auction. Once, the relisting tips page locked the computer up and the only way out was to turn off the power and start all over again. And when I did get it to work, it took forever. I finally gave up for tonight and came over here to do a little reading and try to calm my nerves.

I have given up on relisting. Loading the auctions once was such a pain. I list by hand but try and do several from the same "type" and would just go back and redo the same one with small changes~ forgot that~ turned out blank! each time and if I made a mistake same thing~ hope it is a glitch and not ebay trying to sell their bulk loader. Ugh

When I relist, it takes the page about 20 seconds to load, then the ipix offer which I have to click no to, then I must type in my password again and it works fine.
It adds another minute to each item, but it works.....so far!

I relist once a week of the auctions that didn't sell in the prior week. Generally about 10. These don't take anytime at all, usually about 5 minutes.
I use Vrane. I bought 1000 relisting credits for $9.95. They are good for one year. Each relist costs 1 credit.
This is the easiest way I found to relist. Once I got rid of auctionwatch, I was trying to relist directly through ebay, and that was time consuming. Pages hang, get rejected, time out and all of the problems with 3rd party pics. Vrane is much easier and at a penny an auction, well priced.

I relist using AuctionWatch's Auction Manager. I can easily relist 50-100 items in under 1/2 hour (most of that time is spent doing my own record keeping... actual time to relist the auctions is probably closer to 5 minutes). I have about a 50-75% sell-through rate on my relisted auctions.... so it's definately worth relisting them. For those of you frustrated with relisting (& listing) through ebay, you might want to review the services offered by companies like AuctionWatch & Vrane. There are pros and cons to both.... For instance, AuctionWatch is more expensive... but on the other-hand, it's also more reliable. (from what I understand from fellow posters, Vrane is pretty much a one-man operation... let's face it, AuctionWatch has a LOT more technical staff backing up its services!) Regardless of what service you use, you'll probably have to pay something. But, if it saves you lots of time... it's well worth it!

I use vrane.com's Power Relister too - very efficient and effective. Only down side to it is I can't alter the description at the time of relisting - so if I wanted to add or change the description, I have to either relist manually or relist via Vrane and then revise the auction...
So some of my auctions have Paypal Logo insertion dates from eons ago, because I keep relisting the old auction as long as my supply holds out. 8)
But Vrane is definitely a great tool - and the price is right.
