Won an item Sunday which was shipped from Florida on Monday, arrived here on the outskirts of the Seattle area today (Wed.)!! (Priority Mail) Yes, I'm impressed.
Question is: I noticed a little square (about 1" x 1" or a bit more) label with our ZIP code bar code on it -- the address label was handwritten, the bar code was stuck nearby.
Anyone know how one goes about having access to such bar codes? Very, very cool. But I don't sell enough to use any of the on-line postage services. Seems like USPS ought to have a link somewhere to just download the various bar codes.

My word perfect software prints out barcodes. I took a tour of our airport p.o a few years ago (most likely a field trip) and they mentioned the bar codes and said that they speed up delivery. Who knew???

I print my labels thru Sellers Assistant, and it prints a bar code on the bottom edge of it.
Most of my packages get to anywhere U.S. in 2 days. I was told it was because of this barcode, not postitive though that is the reason. And no, I do not get a discount
