Customer won auction for $42.40 and
wants 2# item shipped to Japan by
air parcel Post (small package) with no
insurance. I don't want to refund if
the package doesn't arrive or is broken
and have read that some sellers do even
if no insurance. I was told that a Certificate of Mailing isn't given for Japan.
Any helpful suggestions?

If it is any help -- I have sent several items to Japan -- I don't insure them -- I put ncv on the customs since all items are used and I have never a problem -- It gets there fast and reliably.

there is no insurance offered on global priority mail but there is for regular air mail.
if letter - you can mail registered mail,if small package, insurance is provided, rate is higher than domestic, check with their website.
USPS has a website for international shipping/
i have shipped to japan and never have a problem, also it gets there pretty fast too.

You can only insure through the Post Office if you mail by air parcel post or surface parcel post. I know many people use U-pic insurance, you could do that and still send the item the cheap way. Go to www.u-pic.com
