Ok here is the story. I sold a idget. Buyer user BIN. I sent end of auction letter. Approx 1 1/2 weeks later I get an email from buyer saying they are not going to pay becuase they felt I did not list what they wanted to know in the listing. ( I stated everything I knew about the item) I wrote back saying it would have been easy enough to ask me any questions before bidding (my email address is my user id). I say I would forget the auction, but please ask questions before bidding because you cost the seller time and fees we have to get back. ......A couple of days leter this buyer leaves me netural feedback saying " declined sale did not give enough info on item".
Here is my question..Why other to leave feedback at all? He was the one who backed out not me. I am temped to leave feedback, but can not decide with leave a netural or give a negative.

He's a NPB and can't leave you negative feedback now, so if you feel a neg is deserved, you're safe. Be sure to file the necessary stuff with Ebay to get your fees back and put a NPB on his record - maybe he won't be so quick to jump on the BIN if he doesn't feel there is enough info in the auction (which there probably was - I think most buyers haven't learned how to read yet).

Neg 'em and file for your FVF. That's a really shoddy way to treat a seller!
"Bidder didn't ask any questions before auction ended and then refused to pay."
If you leave neg feedback like that, any response they come up with that says the item wasn't what they wanted will just make them look dumb. You could respond to your neutral with the same sentence.

Thank you both for the advice. I am really tempted to leave a neg.
I was just shocked they left feddback to begin with I never would have thought to even bother with it. It's like let me see. I bid and won it, now I don't want it. The seller is nice enough to say forget it don't warry about it so I am going to leave the seller netural feedback instead of saying "ok thanks" and go about my business, and leaving no feedback at all.
