Would you remove the felt on the bottom of this peice? It is solid underneath, and I am very curious to see if it has a makers mark. How could I remove it safely if I did?

LOL! I have very similar to that which just sold, only in different colors! I can tell you what is underneath it!

YOURS:

MINE:

It says "Made In China" underneath. I don't remember if it is a sticker or stamped (I believe it is a sticker). It isn't old (about 5-6 years at most).

EDITED BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T EXACTLY THE SAME

They look very similar to one another.. but not exactly. I think this one may be a bit older than 5-6 years - it looks like it has at least that much dust and dirt on it! I haven't cleaned it up yet.

I might end up doing what I normally don't do... keep it!

I listed it as "Cinderella's Coach", and it sold for $4.99

parrot's statue looks like it's older and made of higher quality.

I know it is not cinderella's coach. It was the only way I could think of describing it.

However, the bidder loved it, so I am satisfied.

Sure...remove the felt. You should be able to soak it off with warm water. As long as, the decoration is under the glaze, the water won't hurt a thing.

If the bidder is happy, then it is a good thing! I thought of Cinderella when I first saw it too.

I've looked on eBay for some similar items, I can find several that are close, but no cigar. One that is marked "Made in occupied japan" is going for way more than the others.
