The 3 day auctions are too short because if Ebay crashes a couple of times, takes longer than usual to index your listing etc, you have lost your 3 days. I've tried both 5 days and 7 days. 7 days has worked pretty well for me. I list on Monday night, usually get quite a few bids over the weekend right before the auctions end and that final flurry at auction end. I also used 10 day auctions until Ebay started charging but no more. I'm paying Ebay enough money!

If you start a 10 day auction on a Thursday night, the auction will include 2 weekends which should increase bids and page views.

10 days ALWAYS. Anything less will get fewer page views and bids. I've tried every combination of ending days/times and length of auction. For me, nothing even comes close to a 10 day auction closing on Wednesday and Sunday nights (in that order). I have found 3 day auctions to be a complete waste of money and time.
