ALL email addresses and IDs are fictional!

I won an auction on May 18 and paid the same day with paypal. I was told by the seller "ABC" to send paypal payments to email account "XYZ", which is a different email address than the one the seller uses for ebay. I have yet to receive my item. The seller said they would send items ASAP, which could mean any time.

I have emailed the seller at both email addresses several times (over a span of 1 week) to get a date on when the items were shipped. I didn't get a response from the seller until I started carbon copying my emails to Safeharbor. The seller was buying and selling items, so it wasn't like they were not able to respond due to being on vacation. The seller has yet to tell me exactly when the items were shipped or prove they were shipped. Their vague response was "items were shipped at least a week to ten days ago." I just wanted to know exactly when they were shipped so that I could determine if they should be here or not. It's been almost 1 month since I paid.

What I am concerned about is that the XYZ email address is attached to a NARU on eBay. My guess is from looking at XYZ's feedback that they were keeping people's money and not sending the items. Then they opened the new id ABC to start selling again.

The response from ebay so far is the typical we don't care and work it out amongst yourselves.

So, what should I do now? Should I post negative feedback now? Should I wait? Should I report this to Paypal? Looks like I have to report problems to paypal within 30 days of payment and that is coming up on Sunday! It was a small dollar amount, but for me it isn't so much about the money, it's the principle of being ignored by a BAD seller!

a NARU seller opening another account to sell is clearly a violation of eBay rules. I would keep on this with (un)SafeHarbor until someone takes it seriously.

If you paid via credit card (through PayPay), file a report with them, and dispute the charge with your credit card company.

Yeah, ebay totally ignored the questions/comments in my emails about this NARU seller being the same person I'm dealing with now!

It usually takes at least two e-mails if not more to get the original point across. Generally speaking your second, third and fourth e-mails will end up going to different people so eventually one will read it who actually might have a clue.

Just keep doing what you have been until you get some answers--and good luck!

You forgot rule #1 when dealing with customer service for any internet company.

At the top of your email put (in all caps)

"PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR POTATO CHIPS AND READ CAREFULLY!"

Rule #2

Use language that even a 2 year old can understand and make liberal use of colored text to avoid a short attention span.

If you do this, you should get your point across.

Still no reponse from Mr. Bad Seller or ebay. I went ahead and filed a complaint with paypal. What good will that do?
