I registered with epier, looks like ebay, but gee, does anything move on this site? I look at the closing and listings and I have never seen so many zeros'. Why does this site appear to have virtually no bidders?

Because the site has virtually no bidders...

Tigress, I guess I should be more direct in the structure of my question - does this site do anything at all to attract bidders? advertising? marketing? - I mean I have been to some far out auction sites and seen at least some bidding but this auction takes the cake! and what a shame!and you can list for free!

nope. too late. ebay has a monopoly, and there is nothing anyone can do about it (even no fees)

ain't it sad?

How can people be so incredibly loyal to ebay? Its like everybody in the US going to only one mall! I just don't understand it-there must be some way to get people off Ebay and on other sites!

I'll answer that question with another:

How can people be so loyal to Microsoft, since most of their products aren't worth the cardboard they are packaged in?

There are much better operating systems out there, but everyone knows that the big software manufacturers make their products to run on Windows. Those software manufacturers who do make products for other operating systems also make them for Microsoft, therefore Microsoft maintains its grip on the market.

Same holds true for eBay - Nobody is going to jump ship, because for an exodus to work, everyone would have to leave at the same time, and stop selling on eBay, where it has been proven that items do sell. Do you want to be the first to leave completely, and have your products sell for next to nothing, or nothing at all on another auction site?

I have got some very fair buys on ePier, slowly growing in size.
Remember all stores are not BIG K mart.

Fair for both, as a seller, i know you want the max, and as a buyer, to spend the least.
But a fair price to both is very good.

I believe one main reason is that i have
NEVER seen any Epier item come up when i do the universal search from auctionwatch.com

>what a shame!and you can list for free!<

...and get $5.00 worth of 'goodies' to boot!

We put a couple items on Epier two weeks ago, no bids, no looks. Same items that sell every couple days on ebay. Same price.

I looked though a lot of auctions on Epier, trying to find a deal on anything but all of the starting prices I saw were higher than the same items sold for on ebay!

To me Epier looks like a dumping ground for overpriced/common stuff.

(not that ebay is a lot better sometimes.......)

Is it just me or am I wrong again?

Epier will never come up on the auction watch search engines. Something going on there, don't know what but AW does not like epier for some reason. Maybe epier can't/won't pay the fees yet.

I wanna move wherever Bob Mills is moving to! That was so great last night, like a soap opera in fast forward! I have a feeling he's going to Yahoo.

Imagine a shooting star leaving ebay! And all the people voting in support at #1608411040 to get rid of those darn emails taking our buyers away. Only sorry I didn't get in on it early enough to bid on his jacket auction before they yanked it. $40,000,000.00 must have raised a red flag at ebay even on a Sunday night!

ePier and Bidville either won't advertise or can't afford to. Possibly no marketing department either.
