The business section in this mornings St. Petersburg Florida Times reports Online auctions,especially at eBay,are booming,but not for selling.


Has the popularity of online auctions led to a flood of collectibles and attic castaways and a saturated market? Or has the economic slump hit the online auction world?


I think the market is saturated. When eBay first started and before when I sold at shows and flea markets people had to work to find odd items and it was a reward like catching a big fish. Now what we thought were odd items there are 10 or more of on eBay at any given time.

I'll say it until it sinks in everyones head-
Jobs equal spending money. Look around you. How many stores are closed. Where did the jobs go? And, the saturation on ebay and others equals more sellers than buyers with money. Also, summertime is generally a time when people leave their computers to gather dust, Thankfully.
