I don't get why PayPal rips off Premier and Business account holders when customers pay you via their PayPal balance! Why the heck do they take the 30 cent plus 2.2% fee in those situations??? There's no Credit Card fee imposed in that case! Is it pure greed and power going to their heads??? They're a private company who doesn't answer to shareholders, so why the onerous terms for sellers??? What the heck is up with these people???
If they'd stop charging us for PayPal balance fees I think most of us would be more than happy to accept PayPal as a valid payment option. Credit card fees BAD. PayPal balance GOOD!

I do agree PayPal should make balance payments free, but it won't stop BillPoint.
New sellers are required (unless they pay for a credit check) to get BillPoint accounts when they register to sell now and BillPoint is placed on their auctions as a payment method by default now. It is a matter of time before old sellers will face the same regulations.
I don't think any payservice has a chance of challenging BillPoint now. EBay will do the picture hosting, EBay will do the auction managing, EBay will do the storefronts, EBay will do the payment service, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Hardly seem like onerous terms.
1. They don't make squat on credit card transactions as they have to pay similar fees.
2. There is very little to be made on the float.
3. They have to make some money somewhere. Can we grant them that much?
Still beats, as far as I can tell, setting up your own merchant account.
