Hi guys, just a thought. Perhaps everyone who supported the Shooting Star Jacket auction should pull up the transcript, write it down (or print it) on a piece of paper, scan the paper, and sell it on eBay as an original work of art. Certainly a viable commodity and since it's only an image of the item for sale, it wouldn't be a TOS violation, would it?
Let's flood 'em, folks. They need to hear about it.

While I like the idea too, the other problem I see is that if everyone posted an auction like the one mentioned, just think of all of the ebay fees ebay would collect. Ebay would love that, but I for one don't want to give them MORE money (less is nice, but more-- No!) :0)

I've run Penny Auctions before. eBay does not collect the 5% fee on it. Here is the continuation auction of the Jacket.

Just a note to remind everyone to only bid 1 cent and a quantity of 1. Please don't jack the price up and quantities over 1 will not get you more votes and only hurt the auction.
Thanks for bidding on the auction and for your co-operation.

didn't i read here that ebay had reconsidered sending out the Recommendation Emails? i'll be happy to bid if that isn't the case.

I received a recommendation email today. I lost the auction for, let's say, a "blank dog collar".
So ebay sends me a list of "blank" pottery, glassware, art glass, etc.
The name was the same but it wasn't the same person, artist or craftsman!
Oh yeah, they really know what I want! From now on when I bid I will click NO to their spam.

You will be glad to know that in the few short minutes it took me to read the auction and the "about me" 3 more bids were entered.
