I just received $335 in cash from one bidder. I was amazed it made it safely, since it was not even hidden very well. Just wondering what is the highest amount of cash you received was. I typically get up to $20 in cash, but never this much...

I got $60.00 one time, but it was to replace a check that had bounced. At least I got my money back. I'd be too afraid to send money. I can't believe somebody sent over $300.00!!

I got about $135 in cash from an overseas bidder. Fortunately, he sent it registered mail because he wrote my address incorrectly! So after his payment hadn't arrived for a month, he actually sent out another $135 in cash! Talk about your trusting souls. Naturally, about two days after he sent me the second payment, the first one arrived! It had the correct house number, but he labeled it for the west side of my street, while I'm on the east side. So I sent him the item after receiving the first payment. Since the second payment was also sent registered mail, I just told them to mark it as "refused" and had it returned to the buyer. That was definitely one of the more ticklish situations I've ever been in, but in the end we were both happy with the transaction.

I have a feeling that Jerry12 will be posting here soon. I know for a fact that he once received a HUGE amount of cash in the mail. I won't go into details, all I can say is that it involved a white tiger and the city of New Orleans.

The most I ever received was $165.00 in a greeting card from overseas. The buyer told me she paid all her transactions with cash!

$35 from the UK
$20 from Japan
Even though I sell full time, most of my items are small, low priced things.

I think the most one of my customers sent me in cash was around $80. She was from Australia, and she wrote down the serial numbers from the bills on a piece of paper and enclosed it in the envelope. Apparently she thought you could trace the bills.

Couple years ago received battered envelope with scribbled return address and postmark that I could barely put together as from Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina (East Europe, recently a war zone). A blank piece of paper slipped out as I examined it, bottom was slit right across its length.
Full payment of $14 cash was still folded in the blank paper, and of course I knew who the buyer was, not that much biz from that country.
All I can figure is it was opened by an honest censor in Bosnia.

But... I pay cash too and I actually lost $106 (didn't follow my own rule - registered if over 100$ - stupid me!)

I received $300 in cash once, from a U.S. buyer, for a highly collectible video game.
The guy told me ahead of time that he was sending cash, and I very strongly suggested that he get a money order instead. I even explained that they were readily available at many places, post offices, grocery stores, banks, and even some gas stations. And I explained how, if it got lost or stolen along the way, that there wouldn't be any way to recover it. But he insisted on sending cash.
I practically held my breath until it arrived, but it did get here safely!
I would never (ever) do it, but if I had been a dishonest person, I could have pocketed that money, told him it never arrived, and there would have been nothing he could do about it. He would have had no proof whatsoever.
What's kinda funny is that he was a newbie at the time, and when he saw my auction starting at a penny, he e-mailed me before bidding and asked if it was a scam since I was starting it at such a low price. It just struck me as funny that he would be so very careful about bidding, and then afterwards, send me $300 cash without giving it a second thought! LOL!
He was happy with the game.

Packer it's been a while since I listed anything from that area but isn't the category rsprussia related? What is the difference (for educational purposes)?
And I agree with who ever said you get pretty stuff. When I saw it my first thought was; 'I need to go shopping with her LOL.

Around $460.00 in two payments from Switzerland. (in two airmail letters)
I don't remember the reason but the buyer told me he was going to do it that way.
Funny thing was that he did not want to pay the shipping charges for airmail so it took almost 2 months for the items to get there!

I received $1475 from a California Bidder by Federal Express Next Day Air For A Blue Dog Signed Print.
Thought it was awfully risky esspecially considering it was all in $20 bills.

$240 from a U.S. Bidder - no warning just opened the envelope and there were 2X $100 bills and 2 X $20 -- regular mail note attached - that's all -- I nearly died -- emailed right away that it had arrived .
