My Dad used his Visa to buy a Big Bertha Golf Club from Ebay.
The seller had lots of good feedback...but only for buying small items...then he put up a bunch of Expensive clubs and never send any of them...he ripped off alot of people and is now suspended.
he even went so far as to give out fake Feddex Tracking numbers...
My Dad contacted Visa do do a chargeback...but it has taken a real long time...Visa says they are looking into it and waiting for Billpoint to contact them...meanwhile he is out 400.00 and paying interest on his card as he refuses to pay for it.

I'm not sure where things stand with your dad's credit card company. In my experience, when I disagree with a charge on my VISA statement, I call the toll-free number and say that I'm contesting a charge. They send me a form to that effect, I sign it and then they go off to investigate. In the case of Citibank, they remove the charge from my bill pending investigation. Has your dad done this? If he hasn't contested anything in writing, it's a good idea for him to do so.

You do not normally pay interest on the portion of your bill that is contested untill you loose. If you win it is just removed and you were not charged any interest.
