i'm usually not worried about bidders, but right now i've got someone bidding on 3 of the most promising things i've got up. she (i'm assuming) has a feedback of 11, 3 negs, last feedback was in november, and it was negative. all negs are for no email, no payment.

the auctions do have a few days to go, but i can't help feeling a bit nervous about this.

comments?

If the bidding gets going, and you can catch her third down on the bid list, you could block her bids, and not affect your auction, other than making sure she doesn't win.

I have something similiar and I'm trying to stay positive. I have several video games up for auction that close late tomorrow. So far, I have one -1 bidder, five 0 bidders, two 1 (one with one negative), two 2's, a 4 and a 7. Think I can get all these closed without any problems? Keeping fingers crossed.

We've got to face the fact that alot of new folks are finally being exposed to the Net and FINALLY becoming comfortable making online purchases. I still know folks who HAVE NEVER even made a single online purchase --- and some of these are professionals who use PCs on a daily basis! Not everyone is cutting edge. Lot of slow adopters. It's not a bad thing as that means more potential buyers for our wares! Some of these less experienced folks not familiar with auction protocol (i.e. sniping, watchlists, etc.) are the ones who'll run up our auctions on occasion!

For the record...

In the past few weeks I have had 3 (0) feedback bidders.

Two (2) of those have won and then totally deadbeated on me.

I am not real happy with (0) feedback bidders at the moment.

Some sellers put too much emphasis on feedback and end up with ulcers. On some sites I have massive feedback whilst on the newer ones I have none.

How can you judge a bidder by his feedback on your particular site when you don't know the full picture?

susan1232 - I wish you luck, but I think the odds are you'll have at least one NPB out of that batch. Video games are notorious for attracting NPBs, mostly because you're dealing with kids and young adults. Sometimes you're dealing with kids too young to legally bid, but the parents give them an account and fail to monitor their activities. I've also found that Summertime has always been my worst time of year for NPBs, as I tend to have more bored kids bidding on my auctions just for something to do. I wish you luck, but be prepared for some frustations.

I have a bidder who has won about 10 auctions in just a few days, all which closed on or around the 2nd of June, one of which is mine. She only has three feedback, has not paid for any of the other auctions, including mine (I am assuming she hasn't paid the others, no feedback has been left, but I am probably being too presumptious) Anyway, I have sent her three payment reminders, one through Ebay, and she still has not responded nor paid. She is also still actively bidding. How long should I wait? Seems like she was real anxious in the beginning, but now is totally ignoring me. (I hope this is clear, I have been accused in other threads of not making it clear what I was trying to say)

holdenrex-I think you're probably right. Like I said, I'm trying to stay positive-but am also prepared for the worst. LOL

Aussiegirldownunder-Usually, I don't even notice the feedback. But in this case, it's because of what I'm selling that has me nervous. Video games-different buyers there.

microbes,

good idea. i'll see how it goes. of course she might have learned her lesson by now and could become a good customer. some people start off on the wrong foot and then become great ebayers. just no way to know.

aussiegirl,

in this case it isn't just about low - or no - feedback. i haven't had too much trouble with 0 or low feedback users. in fact some of them turn out to be excellent customers because they're trying so hard.

susan, good luck! perhaps it'll turn out ok for you. yumacoot, i think it's time for a npb.

Dang it....it was a pretty good sale too. I guess that's why I have procrastinated npb. If no email by tonight or tomorrow, I will do that.
