It has been raining so much in my neck of the woods these past few days, I thought I saw Noah float by. We just got word the entire "downtown" area in the town has been flooded (waist high water and rising) which includes the post office. This is where our mail comes from. bummer. I guess we won't be getting any mail for a while. Looking at the down side, payments will be slow to come along with everything else. Looking on the up side, I could use a small break and it is getting easier and easier to fish out of the pond in the front of our house.
In regard to the homes flooded. Two years ago there was a government buy-out of property that was susceptible to flooding. The homes flooded chose not to participate and the government warned them it would happen again and so it has.

The little town is Easton, Kansas west of Leavenworth. The town north of Easton got 7 inches of rain this morning and we are in for some more.

Oh dear, my parents just left this morning for a driving/shopping 2-day tour of Kansas (they like to just get away and drive and have that quality kids-are-all-grown-up-its-finally-just-us time together)....
