Ok....I have to admit it. I have been VERY lucky with bounced checks. I've been selling for over 2 years and this is only the second one I have had. I don't hold checks and until today, I haven't had a problem. Well, I received a notice from my bank that a customer's check was NFS for $17.85. I called her bank and sure enough, there was no money in the account. Then I called her. She wanted to know if it was being put in again, because she would have money in the account by midnight tonight. I told her I would check(no pun here) and let her know if the check would go through again. Well, it will by tomorrow and hopefully the money will be there. If the check does go through, do I also ask her for the $5.00 returned check fee or just chalk it up to experience. Also, I am now thinking that I have just been incredibly lucky, and wondering about holding checks--how many of you hold checks and is it a good idea. Oh, and on top of everything--I left feedback when I received the check--she has her merchandise and likes it and has left none! Oh, well. Live and Learn. Thanks for letting me vent and any advice would be helpful!

I always find it emotional fufilling to (if the check does not clear the second time) to sell the check on auction as a 'Miracle Rubber Paper'.
