On the 18th, I received the following email from a recent auction buy:

This is a second notice to date, first being sent on the 15th, of letting
you know you won this auction.
Please reply with shipping information and letting me know you are sending
payment within the next 48 hours or item will be relisted, and I will file a
non-paying bidder alert with eBay. I'd hate to do this, but have had
problems with non-paying bidders in the past.

I deleted out her closure because it was identifying info.

Now, I e-mailed her saying I'd pay her by paypal. I'm using my college email account for this particular id, and she notes in one of her spastic emails that I'm a college student and how she knows we're deadbeats but she'll give me such and such time to pay.

48 hours = 2 days...so she expects payment in 5 days?? That wasn't listed in the auction info...

I intend on paying, but I find this seller very rude.

My little girl turned 5 Sunday, so I've been busy past few days. Took this seller a week to e-mail me the auction info (her address, etc) and she has some gall to get hateful with me. Has some attitude about being a power seller and has no time to wait on emails. I'm not a power seller, but I don't wait on e-mails....I live my life and check my e-mail once or twice a day, usually once at night.

I just don't understand some people...

Unfortunately many sellers have been burned by college students. Some, as soon as they see a college email addy, will cancel the bid. It's too bad, but that's the way it goes.

If you're going to paypal her the money, why would it take 5 days to do it? It just takes a few minutes.

It took her a week to email the EOA, but she had to send you two notices according to what you posted here, one on the 15th and one 3 days later on the 18th. Since you were planning to pay with paypal why didn't you do it at the first notice on the 15th? She would've had her payment and not sent a second notice.

I guess I don't understand what the problem is aside from you claiming she's rude, which is a big problem, but I don't see where she's wrong in this case.

If she is I apologize, but I just don't see it.

Also, where do you see she said she'd neg you? She's sending a NPB alert. She has to wait 10 days for that. It doesn't mean a negative for you yet. Why don't you just pay the woman?

Congratulations on your daughter's birthday! Big step for both of you!

I didn't check my email until the 19th at this location because it was my daughter's birthday and I was having to take care of stuff for it. So I received first and second notice at the same time.

So where is that her fault? I think you're being stubborn If you want to avoid problems just paypal her the money. If you don't want the item, tell her so she can file for the npb and get her final value fees back. Auctions aren't a game. Some people are in it for financial gain and support.

she was threatening to neg and badmouthed me for being a college student when I politely wrote her back saying I would be paying by paypal and that she need not take her bad experiences out on me. Gave her my other two ebay ids that I'm using and told her to show me where there's a neg on either one for being a deadbeat. She didn't address that at all. Then she said she wasn't being rude and that it was just a form letter she sends out because she is a powerseller and doesn't have to wait on emails.

I'm paying her right now, but I sure won't ever shop with her again.

had she sent me total and payment info (I know that some people don't use same email for their paypal payments)before I would've paid her a week ago. It isn't my fault she waited so long to send information. I already waited a week for her to email me back to begin with and she is upset over waiting 3 days??

Your choice and probably a wise one. She sounds, not mean, but not very bright and not a very good business person.

Form letters are awful and being a power seller doesn't excuse her for being rude.

Good luck with this.
