I have an auction for a tweetybird keychain and there's a bid war for it...it's up to $10.50 now. It's just an ordinary, vinyl tweetybird keyring that you can get at Wal-mart for $5.99. This is so weird.....

Because according to the school district's zero-tolerance policy, it is actually a weapon in disguise.

Take your pick:
a) Because bidders are frequently bonded to the item they're bidding on, and react irrationally when they are challenged.
Or...
b) Perhaps the keychain in question really isn't available at Walmart, is something of a rarity, and nobody else on ebay is offering it at the moment and you just lucked out by having two rabid Tweety collectors hit upon it at the same time.
Or...
c) School's out, kids are bored. Start prepping that NPB form now...
For your sake, I'm hoping it's #1 or #2.

I looked for your keychain too, didn't see it - then I tried to searchfor "tweetybird" instead of "tweety bird" - Bingo! You are the only one listed that way.

I wonder if the same group that shilled the Garfield auction is going to shill this one too?
As we told the lady with the Garfield watch, enjoy it.

Tiggress....I just searched your ebay auctions and all I found was a tweety bird change purse that closed for around $2....is this what you were trying to hype or is this not an ebay auction we are talking about?

I think you just answered your own question there. That was five years ago -- who knows what Wal-mart is selling them for now, or if they even are still selling them at all?
That's the great thing about "collectibles" -- once they can no longer be bought new, the price starts to go up. Unlike most goods, which begin to depreciate the moment you walk out of the store....

patscouch: My, my, my -- aren't WE feeling abusive today! Why not search under "tweetybird" as was mentioned above? I just looked and found it in, oh, about 10 seconds flat.
Nah, don't bother. Then you'd be obligated to apologize, and your head might explode.
All my love,

Uh...apparently they are! Somebody needs to get back on the couch.
Way to go, tiggress! I know that Tweety fans are really diehard fans! So you just never know what you'll get for something like that.

tiggressoflove,
I had to delete your post with the auction number as identifying an auction isn't no longer allowed especially if discussion surrounds the buyer or seller.

hmmm libel:
written defamation
The elements are:
(1)An intentional statement
(2)Made to a third party (publication)
(3)The statement holds the plaintiff up to ridicule of hatred
Moderator:
I cannot post my own auction #s in here for discussion but another user is free to libel against myself by legal definition (I have had 2 law classes btw). His posts stand accusing me of illegal activity in a public forum of my peers which does damage to reputation. Interesting...
lock this thread please. I am sure that I will never get an answer to that without being suspended myself...

Please lick a post card and send it to me. I want whatever strange virus makes your auction descriptions send bidders into a feeding frenzy like chum with sharks.

I recently read that all locations of Warner Bros. Studio Store are closing in the immediate future. Maybe your bidders want to stock up now before it gets hard(er) to find.
