So how do I see all these storefronts?
Am I weird or does it seem odd to have all these storefronts and you have to fumble around looking at auctions to get to them?
Why no browse or search for storefronts?
I feel like I am coming in the back door and snooping around shipping and recieving to find out what's out "front"

Sorry about the Typo on the title - I don't know anyway to fix it.

Well-I received eBay's announcement on the storefront with a link. It took me to a page with the "stores" listed (not in any particular order I could figure out). When I went to the eBay homepage, I could find nothing to indicate storefronts were available. Clicked on the search tab-nothing there. Then clicked on the BROWSE tab and found STORES as a subcategory (under the main BROWSE link).

Maybe they will eventually have something on the homepage to allow you to go directly to the stores or at least indicate there are stores!

I don't think I would want to pay for a storefront that didn't have a better "Front Door"!

I guess I just don't get the stores. I viewed the link given here, and looked at someone's store where I saw auctions. I checked the explanation and it said that stores can include auctions....but that fixed-price listings in stores don't show up in ebay auctions. BUT just yesterday I looked at a seller's listing in ebay and found fixed-price store listings.

Weird.

ebay storefront is still under construction, they just want them to be available to thwart auction watch and aution work storefronts.
they are still working on a store hub which is the main entrance(front door),then there should be a category listing ,a search across all stores.
now there is search within your shop, but few people know or get to your shop.
there is no easy way to get to your shop or find out what items are in all these shops unless you want to go down the list and visit each shop??
someone claim mixing aution and store items are hurting auction sales,i have found no activity with my store items ,not enough any lookers!!

ebay has said store items would not be included in auction search.
i guess the differenc of a nickel versus 30 cents???
so the only way for auction bidder to see your store items while in auction site is to click on your entire list of items or click on your shop button or find a way to go to ebay store listing and scroll down the long list to find your store, the list is not complete ,so i fyou are not one of the early birds, your shop cannot be found on the list.
they say there will be a celebration ,when???

Notice it says a PARTIAL LIST OF EBAY STORES.
Stores are VANISHING from the neighborhood as the newbies move in.

"Above is a partial list of eBay Stores.
A complete Stores Directory where you can browse by category is coming soon."
T

Actually, NO, what is the system? I see people I know still there and now I am not.
Are they picking and choosing?

Stores are free until Sept 1. Items listed now can be relisted in 30 days...again, free. Ebay is saying the "front door" will be opened on Sept 25th.

The stores are a "construction zone" right now.

"they just want them to be available to thwart auction watch and aution work storefronts."

Kinda like how the sellers wanted to thwart thier competition from having access to thier underbidders by having the RECO emails axed. [ edited by amy on Jun 23, 2001 12:09 PM ]

Only the first 300 stores to open are on the stores page. I'm not on it, and haven't sold anything.

Taken from the eBay Announcement Board:

'On June 25th, we will release an eBay Stores Directory where buyers can browse Stores by category. Every eBay Store can choose a category(s) where they list their Store. In addition, there will be an All Stores page, where the user can find every eBay Store that's been created.'

See, it's not September 25, it's June 25-this coming Monday.

Why can't folks just give things a chance???

I give them LOTS of chances. They just aren't very good at communications. Something like this you should not have to go hunting around and not be able to find it. It should grab your eye balls off the Home page.

How come eBay sets up a nicely designed store to sell their own gear and yet gives us such a retarded storefront design???

http://www.ebaygear.com/

Geeeeeez, that's more like what we ought to be given!

As an aside, you guys buying any of that nice eBay gear?

thanks amy,why didn't i think of free relisting when 30 days have gone by and no one know or buy our items?
are we going to do this one by one??
if free listing ends on sept 1 and ebay will have a hub on sept 25,thats means we will be paying unless we relist on 9/24 for 30 days ??
i bet there are plenty of slots open in great collectibles or what is the new name now?
why dont they let us in for 9.95 a month??

I am getting ALOT of views on my storefront items.I also have them all listed in the Honesty Gallery same as my E-Bay Auctions are,so I'm wondering if this is how so many people are finding my store items.Just a thought, maybe this will help someone.

Where Andale is I use the Honesty counters and had signed up for their Gallery which was free I think they are going to charge for it now.I don't think they'll let me post the link here. I'm not selling a whole lot on the storefront right now but my auctions aren't doing great either.Everything I am selling is going off with a BIN everyday. I think the storefront will do great later when things pick up.I just find it hard to believe all these people would be going to the storefront from my auctions.
