Hello all,

I am from Holland/Europe and joining in to the ebay-selling.
I have a question?
What last day for your auction do you recommend?
I reckoned: you better don't auction your ware during vacations in the US and you don't scedule your last day of auction, when Americans are not at home?
Can anybody give me some advice?
Thanks in advance.
Vriendelijke groet,
Frits

Hi Frits,
I've always had good luck sceduling my auctions to end Tues. Thurs. & Sunday nights between 7-10pm Pacific time. Never Friday & Saturday nights as everyone is out partying.

I like to cater to the west coast as there is where all the money is

Good Luck,

packer

Hi frits,

Don't end them on July 4, as I just stupidly did... That is Independence Day in the U.S., and a huge holiday.

I still can't believe I did it. Arghhh.

This might turn out to be the deadest eBay week all year with 4th of July rolling around. With the 4th falling on Wednesday next week, many may take extended vacations.

Hi Packer,

The only thing that might save us is some truly rotten weather... I noticed it this morning when I was checking to see if I'd made it into the Gallery yet. I had...and was very happy, until....baboom.

Hoi Frits,

Sunday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night - but not European time - 6-8 PM California time is usually OK.

If you want to sell to Japan, even later is good!

It also depends on what you sell and the type of people you want to attract. Some people bid a lot from work - for kid stuff sometimes it does OK during the day!

I accidentally ended one set of auctions on the last holiday (Memorial Day, maybe?). I dreaded it, turned out to be one of the best weeks I've had all year. Go figure.

Personally I think you need to test it yourself. I tend to close mine early mornings.
Seems I've got a lot of 9am bidders Just before the boss arrives?

Hello Frits & Moules,
I end my auctions Sunday afternoon in CA. Europe is still awake and I guess I will pick up most of USA. I do miss out on Japan and Australia.
Happy trading.
