i use my own ftp space to host my photos. late last week i happened to check one auction and noticed only the top 1/4 was loading on the main photo, despite multiple reloads. so i uploaded the photo again, and then all was well. happened to check another auction just now, and one of the photos only loads halfway. did the same thing - re-uploaded - and now it's fine. what's the deal? only thing i can figure is maybe the files are somehow getting corrupted? anyone else encounter this?

Same thing has happened to us in the past. We followed the same procedure to correct the problem. I suspect we were dealing with corrupt files, as the photographs had the same cropped view when accessed directly from our index. I'm not sure how it happens, but wanted to let you know that you are not dealing with a unique problem.

thanks, computerboy. i'd never noticed this happening before. hate to have to think i now need to go recheck each auction to make sure everything's loading. the only thing i've done differently is increase the quality of the jpgs. maybe that's the problem. i'll experiment with the next batch.
