I really hope this site gets the support of sellers once it's up and running. It looks like it has the makings of being a winner. Time will tell, as it does with all these ebay wannabes I guess.

BTW, for those who had the same question I did, the site's name rhymes with peggy.

This could be a winner if they do the advertising they promise! What I liked was the category page seemed so easy to navigate compared to ebays'which fills my whole screen. Having things for children seems an innovative idea.

Do I understand correctly that they will have an inhouse online payment system only?
If this is the case it is a major drawback to what looks like a well thought out and designed operation.
Don't like the idea of the on-line house controlling the cash AT ALL.
I am afraid this is what eBay has in mind

No, you will still be able to use PayPal, etc.... You are not limited only to their payment system. Plus, you will be able to use their payment system on eBay if you want.

Is it my imagination or does that green guy look like Nixon? That should chase off quite a few people.

Seems to me I heard all this puffing some months ago about Golds.

The site may show promise but I don't like the name.
There are too many ways that it could be said and anyone and all of them sound STUPID.

When I first seen it I wasn't sure how it was suppose to sound.
YIKES...the sounds that came out of my mouth.
It certainly wasn't anything catchy or easy.

First thing I wanted to say was "gregy" - nope, word of mouth won't catch on saying that.

Oh Dear!

nefish,

I have deleteted your post because it contained a link to another message board, which is a violation of our Community Guidelines.

I don't see how their test audience preferred the ORC in a suit to other mascots.

Green faces bring to mind three things to mind to me, the Orc is gonna hurl, he's green with jealousy or Green with greed.

I wish them well though

If the "green guy" was the favorite choice can you imagine what the losers must have looked like! Yikes

I wish them well though & I signed up for the beta test.

Edited for spelling.

Look at the green guy on the card on the gegypay site, he looks like OJ.

And the guy holding the cash looks like one of the street hustlers you see on COPS.

I did think "gaggy" the first time I saw the green guy. I want to be fair and wish them well.

But....I hate the green guy and the gegy green guy who is supposed to be a kid....I don't know why they have him standing in kind of a "seductive" pose at the top of the kid page. One hand behind his head and the other on his hip?

"Hang out with gegy"

Edited for spelling.

He kinda looks an amalgamation (is that a word?) of Nixon, Tim Allen, and John Travolta. Maybe "gegy" is the scientologist auction community. [ok that was stupid]
But, I'm serious here, I definitely dont want to upset anyone, but the kid looks a little flamboyant to me...
I didnt check out the site yet, though.
I do agree that the name is stupid too.

classiclights,

I had to delete your post as posting the company logo in any form could be seen as promotional.

Everyone,

I'm going to lock this thread and if you would like to continue with it, please go to the Other Online Auctions forum, here
