I checked with my bank today and they stated that it would not be a good idea to give EBAY
your check info. Also on our local news last night 10 people in Norfolk, Va. have been scammed out of money from their ATM accounts.
One was a young navy couple scammed out of 467.00. Total could be higher...BEWARE!!!!!

Were these people "scammed" by eBay? If not, what does this have to do with eBay requiring your bank acct. info?

With eBay, BillPoint, and PayPal storing Credit Card and Bank account information, you can be sure hackers will be targeting these sites!
Earlier this year I was one of the schmucks who had their Credit Card # stolen when Russian hackers broke into Egghead.com's website. Luckily they only made a small initial charge before Citibank notified me and I cancelled the card. We need to protect our info and give these sites as little access to our money as possible! Providing these sites a bank account with very little money in it when they require an account may be a smart move. Also a Credit Card with a very low spending limit. We better watch out for our own money, since eBay and these other sites sure as heck won't!
