I just picked up a few paper items from 1936-39 Germany. 3 Monthly Magazines fron Carl Zeiss Company, a booksellers catalog from 38/39 and most interesting, a list of 400 APPROVED Books for Good Nationalist Socialists.
All of these have a swastika or two here or there- the Zeiss mags in the backgrounds of pics (flag in distance)or on the uniform of a an Officer inspecting the plant. Some of the young men pictured working in the apprentice shops are wearing armbands (Hitler Youth?) and here and there is a raised arm in salute. The APPROVED Book List has the Eagle and Swastika on the cover.
