Auction ended and the bidder never sent payment. Gave a negative. 1 month and 7 days later a check arrives for the auction. The mail was definitely not lost based on the postmark on the envelope. Only ask for money orders. My thought on this is to return the check and say "take care of your winning auctions in a timely manner and pay by the way the seller asks" Am I being too harsh? However it's a newbie.

Summer months are slow. You might want to be the bigger man and cut the newbie some slack. Just be thankful you received payment in any form! Sales are tough to come by and deadbeats are becoming more commonplace. JMHO
