Over 2,000,000 Extra Listings - You Guys/Gals Are Awesome.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The auction count was hovering around 5,200,000 on Wed. night and is now up to over 7,600,000.
Even though some additional listings are often added on Thursday, this number represents over 2,000,000 additional listings added as a result of FLD and I believe is the highest auction count ever.
And to think you did it with no advance warning and only 7 hours notice.
Talk about grassroots power.
And in the face of reported problems with any number of eBay services like picture hosting, Mr Lister and the listing pages.
Hope eBay realizes you could do the same thing for a competitor of theirs. Maybe a cut and paste of a few hundred thousand no-sell listings over to some of the existing or new sites will remind them that building walls won't work.
Step forward, take a bow, pat yourself on the back and take a little time to enjoy the fact that YOUR AWESOME.

It goes to show that people are willing and ready...just make it worth their time and money. I'm impressed with the power of AW etc. to push out the message to the mass of us. Congrats to all.

It would be great to see a million or so items on the shelves when Gegy.com opens in a few weeks, so the buyers who respond to their advertising campaign will have something to chew on. Free lisings will help, as will AuctionTamer's auction management software that will be Gegy compliant (I think) by then.
