eBay Surges To Top Spot Among Comedy Web Sites
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it was unintentional, in fact I'm sure it was unintentional but eBay has clearly taken over the top spot among internet comedy sites.
Just got my first ever "recommendations" email from eBay. Actually I got two earlier that were blank but I just consider them the opening act.
Now the Headliner has arrived and they are clearly the funniest act on the net.
My bid was on "Protest Art - My 2 Cents ....."
Email closing paragraph read "We looked for items with similar titles to the one you lost but we were unable to find close matches. If you are looking for a particularly hard to find item you may consider saving a search in my eBay. Click here."
Protest Art isn't hard to find from any search box, when the system is working which it isn't right now, and maybe they will just have to try again when "search" is working.
But that doesn't stop them. Not our good old eBay. In all fairness, and if nothing else I'm always fair, they did send some listings from the "Protest" artist.
Movie posters/scores (?) for 'Hold Your Man", "I'm Falling In Love" and "State Fair".
The last two recommendations were a 1943-PaperDoll-Frank Sinatra and a Shabby to Chic 60's Orange Ashtray!
Hey, don't ask me. I didn't write this stuff, I'm just reading my lines.
PS The sellers has been invite but they are ROFLTAO at the moment. They will appear when they have regained some composure.
