I've been attempting to upload my eBay auctions with Vrane Power Relister and have been unable to get it to work the last 2 days.

I suspect that eBay has again made changes to their Listing form, causing the Vrane software to be unable to pull the auction information to relist.

Anyone else experiencing problems?

I really like Power Relister and hope it is again functioning soon.

Hi,

I used it just fine last night ~ had no problems.

Just tried it again and it says that it is unable to pull the auction information.

The thought of manually listing these auctions is horrifying, so I hope I can resolve the problem quickly.

Computerboy: it was not working for me last night either. I sent a mail to him and he responded that he thought it was eBay and keep trying. I tried 20+ times in an hour and no luck.

Did you recently open an eBay store? That was the only thing I could think of that might be perturbing the operation.

Same situation here. I also struck out repeatedly when trying to re-list my auctions, even under the paid relisting program. Big disappointment.

If anyone figures it out, please post the answer here!

Thanks,
Jack

you know I'm usually on the side of the seller when something like this goes down.

He has always made repairs very quickly when ebay has made changes in the past as long as it isn't down for more than a few days I'm happy, very, very, very happy. old way 2 hours or more relisting, sometimes as much as 4 hours both me and my wife, compared to about 20min of checking boxes.

If you want to complain about down times for paid items how about ebay.

ecom, if the relist doesn't work, it does not deduct from your credits. But I am pretty sure that he would refund credits if there were any problems.

The only reason it keeps breaking is because eBay keeps twiddling their stuff. I have often wondered if eBay does these little useless tweaks specifically to perturb services like vrane and AW (and thus make you want to use their seller assistant S/W).

I agree that this site provides useful stuff and good service. It's just bothersome when you have a routine established. No way am I going to relist 100+ auctions by hand. So I have to wait for the tool to get fixed. Any day I don't have something on auction is money lost.

Update:He now has a blurb in his site status about power relister not working for some people, and it's being looked at.

wbbell:

My apologies for the delayed response you your question.

I have activated my eBay store. Perhaps this change may have the Vrane software spooked, but I suspect that the outage is related to eBay tinkering with their listing form. I just attempted to relist via Vrane and I received the same error message as yesterday and the day before.

There's little doubt in my mind that eBay is intentionally making frequent changes to their listing form in order to trip up 3rd party developers. eBay wants a cool $250,000.00 from developers in order to allow them access to their code. This keeps the indenpendents out and allows eBay the better ability to sell their own listing/management software solution.

Each time eBay makes even the slightest change to their listing form, 3rd party developers must update their software. Even a 1 line change of no significant value will mess things up. As a result, it is difficult and trying for companies like Vrane to keep up to speed. Quite frankly, they do a hell of a job and I strongly recommend Vrane's services. Their software will save you a great deal of time and money and I've found them to be quite responsive. All of this at a price that is much lower that eBay's services.

Hopefully the fix will be made shortly....
