I've sat on this one for a few days and can't seem to figure out how to react. Can you help?
Auction ended 6-28.
Immediate response to EOA:
Can you open a checkspace account? Then I can do it tomorrow…I have no cash in my paypal right now and I’m off to Florida on Sunday. I’ll fund my paypal now and by Monday or Tuesday it should have the funds to send to [email protected].
e-mail #2 on 6-30:
xx,I’ll send $35.11 via paypal on M/T, as soon as funds hit my paypal account.
e-mail #3, also on 6-30:
xx, Forgive me, I thought this was a man’s shirt…don’t have any use for a lady’s blouse…I should have been more careful. Please cancel my offer. Thanks
additional info:
1) Total Newbie bidder(-0-fb).
2) Item listed in jrs/misses day wear category
3) Partial description to avoid IDing auction:
Tank top, Beautiful floral print, side slit for a flattering fit, too!
(do people write that in men's auctions? not sure)
Question:
Ignore and move on?
OR
Respond & Educate (this costs sellers $$, a bid is a binding contract, etc)?
OR
.....?
whaddaya think?
**TIA**

I would kindly explain that I understand but that I'd need to file for a return of fees from eBay, so he'll be getting some notices from eBay because of that. He'll figure out pretty quickly that it's not OK to do that stuff!
I can see why you've been mulling this one over for a while!

Educate! Here is a copy of the last "education" I sent out:
I see that you are new to eBay, so I don't know if you understand how much it costs to list an item on eBay - this particular item cost me personally over $4.00 in eBay fees alone. Canceling a bid after the auction is over will require a seller to file a NPB (Non-Paying Bidder) alert with eBay in order to get some of the fees back. Filing this alert with eBay will allow the seller to recoup some of their fees, but it will also go against your eBay record and possible result in a negative feedback.

Thanks RainyBear & AntiqueParrot!
I tend to be the hand holding type. I think this bidder has potential, just needs to understand the rules a bit better.
I'm glad you saved that letter, AP, it's good!
I'll get out my chalkboard and play teacher!
Maybe I'll get an apple!

Thanks mcjane!
Depending on how the "tutorial" is received, I will probably leave a positive or nothing at all.
I'm relatively sure it was just a blunder, with any luck this "clean slate" can become a Welcomed Bidder for all!
**Nice to see so many with a Positive Impression of Newbies**
